Shopping for a Corporate Gift is a lot easier than you think. The best gifts in the Corporate World are actually more 'impersonal' and 'professional'. The last thing you want to do is send the wrong message throughout the office.
Here are some occasions where you might want to think about Corporate gift giving. There are also a few tips included.
· A gift for that recently promoted co-worker or manager.
· A birthday gift for a co-worker or manager.
· Holiday gifts are always appropriate. Just be sure you acknowledge the correct holiday for the person you are buying.
· A 'going away' gift for someone that is leaving the company. It's a small world and you never know when your paths might cross again.
· Buy another office or company a Corporate Gift, such as a gift basket praising the great relationship and help they offer.
· Managers should think about buying a Holiday Gift for their staff. It can be as small or large as you like. It's the thought that counts. Really.
· If you make many sales calls out of state or even out of the US, you might want to carry around some kind of token Corporate Gift. A regional book containing information about where your company is located is a nice touch. Don't be cheap, get a hard cover with nice pictures. Think 'coffee table books'.
· Corporate Gifts can be events as well. Throw a party for another Department for working so hard and helping.
· Cash is usually frowned upon. We all love cash, but why not give a gift card instead. There are many on-line stores that offer them today.
